Our rapidly growing facilities demand skilled and talented people to help us expand and increase efficiencies throughout front and back-end operations. Post-Harvest Lead must have previous experience in trimming/post-harvest to adhere by local and state laws and regulations related to marijuana production and keep up to date on changes to these laws and regulations.
The Post-Harvest Lead is expected to maintain product quality through the de-budding, trimming, and packaging phases. Overseeing the performance of a team through the day-to-day tasks associated with trimming and packaging of final product. We’re seeking a candidate with past cannabis trimming experience to join our post-harvest team to assist in meeting daily productivity goals, and to ensure a quality product while maintaining all compliance requirements. They are responsible for trimming, weighing, labeling, and packaging the trimmed buds in a fast-paced environment. They must abide by Michigan state laws and regulations related to marijuana production and keep up to date on changes. Commercial Experience Required
- Must be 21+, with a valid State ID, and able to pass additional background screening.
- High level of integrity and a strong work ethic
Description / Duties:
- Ensures employees’ daily work tasks are completed in a timely manner and consistent with standard operating procedures.
- Evaluate quality of de-budding, trimming, and packaging of dried product by team members.
- Should be able to retain knowledge of labels and understand the components of compliance surrounding packaging and labeling.
- Assists with training of staff.
- Train employees of proper methods and techniques to perform all post-harvest tasks.
- Correctly weighing, packaging, and labeling cannabis products as required.
- Review team members weighing for accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Preserve a culture of professionalism.
- Prepared to complete duties that are required by supervisors in facility.
- Effective communication with the Post-Harvest Manager regarding labor needs, workflow management, materials/supplies, employee issues/complaints
- Properly store packages in an organized fashion.
- Count, label, prepare, bag and box a variety of items into the final product packaging.
- Start earlier than their team members to prepare supplies for the day and willing to stay after team completes daily tasks to wrap up these duties.
Job Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good record keeping and leadership skills.
- Previous trimming experience.
- Cannabis experience 1 year (preferred).
- Experience working in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Always follow standard operating procedures in a safe and compliant manner.
