Emerald Mountain Labs and its affiliate facility, Viridian Labs, are home to over 50,000 sq ft of cultivation space in Warren, Michigan. Our rapidly growing facilities demand skilled and talented people to help us expand and increase efficiencies throughout front and back-end operations. We’re seeking a Maintenance Technician whose role will include shipping and receiving, responding to reports of broken or faulty items, and more. Our Maintenance Technician should help create a positive environment by having a positive attitude and by being self-motivated. Our Maintenance Technician must perform a routine planned maintenance.

· Must be 21+, with a valid State ID, and able to pass additional background screening.

Required Skills:

• Highly knowledgeable with hand and power tools
• Highly motivated and self-directed
• Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the company
• Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
• Must have the ability to work on feet. Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 60 pounds (100 pounds with assistance) AND must be able to do so safely with extreme care and caution.
• As a Maintenance Technician, your attention to detail is crucial to ensuring buildings, mechanical parts and other structures are in working order.
• Ability to work in a diverse environment, presenting a positive, capable attitude, and creating a friendly experience to all staff, contractors, vendors, etc.
• Must maintain a safe and clean workstation.

Job Duties:

• Checking, testing, and maintaining safety equipment are all working properly.
• Create appropriate maintenance schedule based on needs of facility.
• Suggest improvements and review progress with department leads regularly.
• Respond to complaints in a timely manner.
• Follows all required safety and standard operating procedures.
• Familiarity with electrical and greenhouse systems.
• Shipping & Receiving: Perform all functions through the shipping and receiving areas. Receive materials and shipments and distribute to appropriate departments, all in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.

Work Experience – One or more years of continuous work experience (in a janitorial and/or maintenance field preferred).

Schedule:

• Monday to Saturday
• 8-hour shift
